Fundado en 2005, sus obras y proyectos han sido publicados en numerosas revistas del Avery Index To Architectural Periodicals, como Arquitectura Viva, On Diseño, C3, Area, etc. Dichas obras han sido igualmente expuestas y catalogadas internacionalmente, recibiendo diversos premios y distinciones en España, Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Italia, Alemania, Grecia, Polonia, Bielorrusia y Azerbaiyán, como el Gran Premio Leonardo, nominado al Mies van der Rohe, seleccionado para la Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Premio de Arquitectura A+ o varios Premios en Colegios Oficiales de Arquitectos. Igualmente su obra ha formado parte de diversas exposiciones internacionales formando parte del ES_ARQ de la Casa de la Arquitectura.
Founded in 2005, the studio’s works and projects have been featured in numerous publications indexed in the Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals, including Arquitectura Viva, On Diseño, C3, and Area. Its projects have also been exhibited and catalogued internationally, earning a wide range of awards and distinctions in Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Greece, Poland, Belarus, and Azerbaijan. These include the Leonardo Grand Prize, a nomination for the Mies van der Rohe Award, selection for the Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism, the A+ Architecture Award, and several prizes awarded by Official Colleges of Architects. The studio’s work has also been included in various international exhibitions as part of the ES_ARQ collection of the Casa de la Arquitectura.

DOCENCIA
Es Vicedirector de Ordenación Académica de la Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Cádiz y profesor del Departamento de Proyectos Arquitectónicos de la E.T.S.Arquitectura de Sevilla. Ha sido profesor invitado en las universidades IUAV di Venezia, Politécnico de Milán, Olavide, Camerino, Rey Juan Carlos, Universidad de la República de Uruguay y Oxford Brookes School of Architecture. Ha participado como miembro de jurado en diversos concursos y premios de arquitectura internacionales, así como en Comisiones y Asesoramiento de administraciones públicas y universidades.
INVESTIGACIÓN
Sus trabajos de investigación han sido reconocidos con el Premio Nacional de Urbanismo “Ricardo Santos Díez” y el Premio de Ensayo “Pablo de Olavide”. Ha sido becado en varias ocasiones (Talentia, AUIP, Patrimoniun-10, Plan Propio US, Erasmus+), para realizar diversas estancias las universidades de Venecia, Lima, Delft o París. Es investigador en el grupo HUM-1050 de la Universidad de Sevilla: Grupo Acción Patrimonial: Arquitectura, Turismo y Género, participando en Proyectos de Investigación como “Metodología de intervención en los espacios transversales de los cauces urbanos”, «GISPARQ. Gestión Inteligente y Sostenible del Patrimonio ARQuitectónico: innovación digital y gestión integrada para la conservación, el turismo y la economía de la cultura. Aplicación al Real Alcázar de Sevilla» y “Proyecto SMART, Architectural and Archeological Heritage. Instrumentos y Estrategias de Innovación para la Integración de la Gestión Patrimonial, Turística y Paisajística”. Es colaborador con la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería de Perú y ha participado en comités científicos de revisión en revistas indexadas.
Ha participado como ponente en numerosos Congresos científicos o tecnológicos, nacionales e internacionales, principalmente vinculados al campo del Patrimonio Arquitectónico, publicando, de igual modo, varios artículos científicos de revista con proceso anónimo de revisión por pares, así como en capítulos de libros en editoriales de alto índice de impacto como Tirant Lo Blanch.
In 2019, he was the recipient of the 40 Under 40 Award, organized by the Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, recognizing him as one of Europe’s most influential young architects and was chosen for the FACtual Young Architects Program by the Contemporary Architecture Foundation in 2018.
TEACHING: He has served as Deputy Head for Academic Planning at the Higher School of Art and Design of Cádiz, and He is professor at Department of Architectural Design at the School of Architecture of the University of Seville. He has also been a visiting professor at IUAV University of Venice, Politecnico di Milano, Pablo de Olavide University, University of Camerino, Rey Juan Carlos University, the University of the Republic of Uruguay, and the Oxford Brookes School of Architecture. He has served as a jury member for numerous international architecture competitions and awards, and has participated in advisory boards, commissions, and consultancy work for public administrations and universities.
RESEARCH: His research has been recognized with the Ricardo Santos Díez National Urban Planning Award and the Pablo de Olavide Essay Award. He has received several competitive scholarships and grants, including Talentia, AUIP, Patrimoniun-10, the University of Seville Research Program, and Erasmus+, enabling research stays at universities in Venice, Lima, Delft, and Paris. He is a researcher in the HUM-1050 Research Group (Heritage Action: Architecture, Tourism and Gender) at the University of Seville, participating in research projects such as Methodology for Intervention in the Transitional Spaces of Urban Watercourses; GISPARQ: Intelligent and Sustainable Management of Architectural Heritage—Digital Innovation and Integrated Management for Conservation, Tourism and the Cultural Economy. Application to the Royal Alcázar of Seville; and SMART Project: Architectural and Archaeological Heritage. Innovation Instruments and Strategies for the Integration of Heritage, Tourism and Landscape Management. He collaborates with the National University of Engineering of Peru and has served on scientific review committees for indexed academic journals. He has presented papers at numerous national and international scientific and technological conferences, primarily in the field of Architectural Heritage. He has also published several peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as book chapters with leading academic publishers, including Tirant lo Blanch.
CARLOS PEINADO MADUEÑO
Carlos Peinado Madueño (Mijas, Málaga, 1980) arquitecto por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Sevilla (ETSAS).
Su trayectoria profesional se define por un equilibrio entre la vanguardia del diseño conceptual, el rigor técnico y el conocimiento del proceso constructivo y financiero de la edificación.
Durante su trayectoria, ha consolidado su experiencia colaborando con destacados estudios de arquitectura y urbanismo en Sevilla y Málaga, participando activamente en el desarrollo de proyectos de toda índole por la geografía andaluza, desde promociones residenciales, hasta proyectos comerciales, de actividad o restauración de patrimonio. Asimismo, formó parte del grupo multidisciplinar Arquitectura 4.0, colaborando en el diseño de concursos a nivel internacional, lo que enriqueció su perspectiva global y su capacidad de innovación.
CONSTRUCCIÓN
Su perfil técnico y su visión a pie de obra se potenciaron de manera clave mediante la colaboración con empresa constructora, desarrollando diversas funciones propias del personal técnico. En esta faceta, asume labores fundamentales de valoración, viabilidad técnica y control económico de las construcciones, así como la optimización de soluciones constructivas y el seguimiento técnico. Esta experiencia le otorga una visión integral y transversal del ciclo de la edificación, dominando tanto la ejecución material como la gestión presupuestaria de las obras.
GESTIÓN
En la actualidad traslada todo este bagaje a Carquero Arquitectura, para conectar el diseño con el terreno. Su doble visión, como arquitecto proyectista y como técnico en el sector de la construcción, aporta al estudio una valiosa cercanía, viabilidad técnica y realidad constructiva.

Furthermore, he was part of the multidisciplinary group ‘Arquitectura 4.0,’ collaborating on the design of international competitions, which enriched his global perspective and capacity for innovation.
CONSTRUCTION
His technical profile and on-site vision were fundamentally enhanced through his collaboration with a construction company, where he carried out various technical roles. In this capacity, he took on essential tasks such as cost estimation, technical feasibility, and financial control of construction works, as well as the optimization of building solutions and technical oversight. This experience provides him with a comprehensive and cross-cutting vision of the building cycle, mastering both physical execution and budgetary management of construction projects.
MANAGEMENT
Currently, he brings all this background to Carquero Arquitectura to bridge the gap between design and the field. His dual perspective, as both a design architect and a construction sector technician, provides the firm with valuable accessibility, technical feasibility, and constructive reality.
